Cookie Policy

Last updated: 14 May 2026 · Effective: 14 May 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Cashflow King uses cookies and similar technologies. For wider information about how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let websites remember things between page visits — for example, that you're signed in.

Under UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003), we are required to inform you about cookies and obtain consent for any cookie that is not strictly necessary.

2. What we currently use

We deliberately keep cookies to an absolute minimum. As of the date of this policy, we set exactly one cookie:

NamePurposeDurationType
cfos_sessionKeeps you signed in. Contains an HMAC-signed user ID, a timestamp, a nonce, and a signature. No personal data is stored in the cookie itself other than the user ID.30 days, or until you sign outStrictly necessary — does not require your consent under UK law because without it you simply cannot sign in.

That's it. We do not use:

  • Advertising cookies. None. Anywhere.
  • Third-party tracking pixels. None.
  • Social media trackers. None.
  • Analytics cookies that identify individuals. None.

3. What we may add in future

We plan to add Plausible Analytics — a UK GDPR-friendly, cookieless product analytics service that respects Do Not Track and collects only aggregated, anonymised page-view data. Because Plausible does not use cookies, no consent is required and your visit cannot be linked to you personally.

If we ever introduce a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will update this policy and request your explicit consent via a cookie banner.

4. Stripe and TrueLayer cookies

When you visit the billing portal at Stripe or authorise a bank connection through TrueLayer, those providers may set their own cookies on their hosted pages. Those cookies are governed by their respective cookie policies and are not under our control. We never see them.

5. Controlling cookies

Because our only cookie is strictly necessary, blocking it will prevent you from signing in. You can clear cookies at any time from your browser's settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies
